The Business Channel TV interviews PI's Manager in Preparation for Technology Forum

The Business Channel interviewed Robert Severino on nationwide TV this morning before and he gave the keynote address at the Commercialization and Regional Economic Development Program at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.  The theme, "How to Succeed in Business without Crashing" traces the development of the first generation Position Integrity products designed with pilot safety in mind.

 

"The impetus to start up our company was the death of the pilot friend in the crash of his F-4 Phantom jet," revealed one of the company's founders.  JPL assisted in the technology development to enable software to run on a battery-powered laptop in the cockpit of small aircraft for 1/10 the cost of existing systems.
