Honeywell Signes Internet Services Contract with Position Integrity

Honeywell Signs Internet Development Services Contract with Position Integrity

January 18, 2002

Phoenix AZ.  Honeywell International's Aviation Information Services (AIS) group today announced that it will retain Position Integrity, LLC (PI) ( to provide Internet application development and integration services for its Pilot Internet Practice Service (PIPS).  This subscription-based service simulates Honeywell Flight Management Systems and allows commercial pilots to practice flight procedures for various aircraft from any computer connected to the Internet.

In addition to satisfying other key requirements defined by the project, Position Integrity's technical contribution enables the PIPS client software to be browser-independent.  This capability is achieved through the cooperative application of various client-side and server-side scripting technologies.  Although somewhat outside the scope of previous technical services provided to Honeywell in the past, PI has maintained a diverse set of technical skills to service virtually any software development need, including Internet application development.

"This newest contract reaffirms Honeywell's faith in the breadth of PI's technical skills and its reliability as a services provider," said Jesse Lund, Managing Director and Chief Technology Architect.  Lund added: "As Honeywell places a larger strategic emphasis on outsourcing, we're confident we’ll see additional business from them and look forward to further evolving our relationship as a preferred services provider."

Position Integrity, LLC is a privately held company with over 20 major international customers in the commercial, scientific and military aviation domains.
